The Child and Youth Care Association of Alberta is pleased to announce this year’s recipients of its scholarship awards for our student members in an accredited child and youth care program in Alberta.
Our scholarships are designed to encourage and support Albertans from diverse backgrounds to further their education as they continue forward into the career path of a child and youth care counsellor.

Leticia Anim Kwarteng
Recipient of the 2023 CYCAA Scholarship
Leticia is the proud recipient of the 2023 CYCAA Scholarship. Currently enrolled in the second year of the Bachelor’s program of Child and Youth Care at Grant MacEwan University, Leticia is passionate about pursuing a career focused on closing the significant disparities in mental health treatment within minority communities. Her goal is to provide a supportive environment for families through the establishment of a daycare facility. Leticia actively engages with on-campus initiatives and serves as a valuable member of the University’s Child and Youth Care Executive Committee. Her deep understanding of the CYC community further strengthens her commitment to making a positive impact on campus and beyond.
