Rhythm2Recovery Facilitator Training – Music for Social & Emotional Health
This is not a fun drum event but an evidence-based approach, endorsed by the Center for Clinical Excellence, used widely by Child & Youth Health Services in countries around the world. It is highly engaging and draws on the latest neuroscience on how rhythm impacts the human stress response.
This work has also been very successful in engaging Indigenous youth and newly arrived immigrants from other cultures in Australia, New Zealand & Canada – it is culturally safe and respectful.
We all intuitively know the power of music and its importance to young people emotionally, yet there are few evidence-based protocols available to educators or therapists to incorporate music into their work – this is one that is highly practical and accessible.
No musical experience is required to do this course.
